Beira is a mother goddess of Scotland.
The snow is said to be her white plaid skirts drying on the mountains.
When you see the Scottish snow you may rest assured you are under her protection.
Beira sits atop Ben Nevis, waiting for her sister, leaning on her hammer..ready for the inevitable battle with the summer, ever watching the horizon.
A strong sense of the goddess upon the mountain.

I love Mother Mary, I think her serenity is here in this picture.. which I poured over for such a long time.

SEDNA - Inuit Goddess of the Sea.
Inspired by the grisly / gorgeous tale of the Goddess Sedna. Whose unconscionable dad threw her overboard then chopped off her fingers so she couldn't get back in the boat!
Poor Sedna sank to the bottom of the Ocean as her fingers turned into marine animals, and so she became their Goddess guardian. The story of Sedna has a mesmeric quality that stayed with me for a long time, and I enjoyed just allowing this picture to form whilst I felt the beauty of this story.
